In addition to her work as a counselor, Erica Smith is a dynamic speaker and teacher who loves creating spaces where people can talk honestly about mental health, faith, and leadership. Drawing from her background in both theology and clinical counseling, she helps audiences and teams navigate the complex intersection of trauma, spirituality, and personal growth.

Over the years, Erica has trained counselors, coaches, and ministry leaders to better support survivors of trauma. She has developed a specialized curriculum for ministry leaders, church communities, and missions teams that explores topics like mental health in the church, healthy leadership, spiritual trauma, identity, and holistic well-being.

Her retreats are known for being transformative and deeply personal—inviting participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover what wholeness can look like in community. To learn more about booking her for a speaking engagement or retreat, you can reach her at ericasmithcounseling@gmail.com. Erica is also the owner and director of Alabama Counseling & Wellness.

When she's not working, Erica loves to travel. Her favorite places to visit are China, Nepal and Thailand. When she's in the states, she likes to visit Disney or go camping. She also loves to take her hammock on a hike and settle in with her kindle.
