Erica Smith, M.Div, MA, ALC

Erica Smith, M.Div, MA, ALC is an Associate Licensed Counselor and freelance consultant with a passion to help people heal from trauma, break through obstacles, and live a life of wholeness. She has a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, Master of Divinity and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a mental health counselor seeing clients in Alabama. Through compassionate, supportive exploration and a personalized approach, she partners with the client in their pursuit of freedom and wholeheartedness. She has training in a number of experiential therapies including sandtray and expressive arts therapy. She also has trauma specific training in Internal Family Systems and advanced training in Brainspotting (Phase II).

 

In addition to counseling, she is a dynamic public speaker who addresses a wide range of topics, including mental health, leadership, and faith-based issues. She leverages her expertise in mental health and theology to train counselors, coaches and ministry leaders in working with survivors of trauma, religious and spiritual abuse. Additionally, she offers a specialized curriculum designed for ministry leaders, church communities, and missions teams, addressing mental health in the church, healthy leadership, identity issues, and overall well-being. She also leads transformative retreats focused on personal growth, spiritual development, and community building. She is the owner and director of Alabama Counseling & Wellness. When she's not working, Erica loves to travel. Her favorite places to visit are China, Nepal and Thailand. When she's in the states, she likes to visit Disney or go camping. She also loves to take her hammock on a hike and settle in with her kindle.

Maronda Todd, M.Ed, NCC, ALC

Maronda Todd M.Ed/ALC/NCC  (she/her/hers) is a compassionate and dedicated Associate Licensed Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor specializing in grief counseling and body positivity and self esteem counseling. Maronda advocates for self-acceptance and love in the journey toward healing and she believes that addressing grief encompasses not just the mourning of loved ones but also acceptance of the need to live life past the death of a loved one.

 

Maronda employs a holistic approach that combines traditional therapeutic techniques with innovative strategies that promote body positivity and self growth. Maronda prioritizes cultural humility, continuously seeking to learn from her clients' experiences and perspectives. She utilizes a client-centered approach, tailoring her therapeutic techniques to align with the unique backgrounds and needs of those she serves. Whether through narrative therapy, mindfulness practices, or cognitive-behavioral techniques, she aims to empower clients to explore their identities.

Additionally, Maronda has experience  in areas including traumatic brain injury (TBI), anxiety and depression, anger management, life transitions, relationship issues, and LGBTQ+ concerns. 

Outside of counseling, Maronda enjoys listening to audiobooks, creative writing, cooking, and spending quality time with her dog, Nova, friends, and family. She is dedicated to continual learning and is member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 

Jennifer Goode, MA

Jennifer Goode, MA, believes that the client is the expert on their life and uses a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to counseling. She is passionate about walking alongside her clients on their journey toward healing, growth, and wellness. With a B.S. in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, she is committed to providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space
where individuals can explore their struggles and work toward a more fulfilling life.

 

She enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, from young adults to seniors, including those over 65. She is especially dedicated to supporting the geriatric population and their caregivers, aiming to ease the unique challenges that come with aging and help manage related emotional and mental health concerns.
 

She has experience working with suicide ideation, high functioning autism, ADHD, anxiety and depression. She takes a holistic approach, considering the whole person and integrating psychoeducation
on health and wellness to empower clients to advocate for themselves and collaborate effectively with their healthcare providers. 
Additionally, she has specialized training connecting childhood trauma to adult issues, helping clients understand and heal from past experiences. Through compassion and empathy, her goal is to partner with each client on their path toward healing, resilience, and emotional freedom, guiding them toward a healthier, more balanced life.

Anne Sherman, M.Ed, NCC,

Anne Sherman, ALC, NCC  (she/her) is a National Certified Counselor who specializes in working with teens, college students, and young adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and identity development. With experience supporting high school and college-age clients, Anne creates a safe, collaborative space for those facing challenges such as ADHD, anger, low self-esteem, body image issues, and childhood trauma.

Anne’s approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, emphasizing trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. She integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and nervous system–based somatic work to support whole-person healing. For clients who desire it, Anne also offers faith-based counseling.

Anne is nationally board certified and trained in Trauma-Focused CBT. Her work with teens and young adults is rooted in the belief that healing and growth happen through genuine connection, mutual trust, and a collaborative therapeutic process.

Outside the therapy room, Anne enjoys spending time with her friends and family, listening to audiobooks, thrift shopping, and taking her dog on long walks.
